Addiction treatment that works for Tallahassee

Along with being the capital of Florida, Tallahassee also has one of the highest rates of drug use in the state—higher than 83% of cities in Florida. A lot of these people want to claim their lives back from substance use, but they need help. That’s why Workit Health brings accessible, evidence-backed addiction treatment to those in Tallahassee who want to take their lives back from alcohol and opioids.

Workit Health’s experienced, expert clinicians can prescribe FDA-approved medications, including Suboxone (buprenorphine/naloxone) and naltrexone, to reduce your cravings and assist you toward long-term recovery. Our program provides nonjudgmental, science-backed behavioral health support to help you achieve your recovery goals—no matter what they are. With Workit’s telemedicine program, you have access to all this support and more from the privacy and comfort of home. (One in-person appointment may be required.)

It is tempting to blame the drug crisis in Tallahassee on the fact that it’s a college town. But the fact is that 92% of overdose cases in Florida occur in people over 24 years old. We can’t dismiss this as an issue that only affects one demographic or age group in Leon County. That’s why Workit Health makes treatment available to everyone. No matter where you live in Tallahassee, you can access gold-standard care from home with our in-app medical appointments, courses, and recovery groups. Get started with Workit Health’s virtual program in just a few minutes, and same-week appointments are often available. You don’t have to do this alone.

Have questions? We have answers

Workit Health affiliated providers offer clinical care for substance use in Tallahassee and across the state. Here’s how it works:

1) Complete our onboarding in just a few minutes by downloading the Workit Health app. During this step, we’ll verify your insurance or give you pricing information.

2) Schedule an appointment with your care team. Your first appointment will be an orientation to show you how the program works.

3) Order drug tests. Our drug testing process is 100% virtual and simple, and drug tests are shipped to you at no extra cost. In certain states, you must take a drug test before you can receive buprenorphine medications like Suboxone.

4) Video chat with a nonjudgmental clinician. Workit affiliated providers are compassionate, kind, and dedicated to helping people make positive change.

5) After your first visit, if clinically appropriate, the clinician will e-prescribe medication to your local pharmacy.

6) Receive ongoing support through recovery groups, learn new coping tools with our interactive curriculum, and message your care team if questions come up.

6) It’s that easy!

You will meet with a Workit afilliated clinician directly through the Workit Health web or phone app. Log in to your account at your scheduled appointment time, and choose to join your provider’s meeting room. Our in-app video conferencing is HIPAA-compliant and totally secure.
