I attended the University of Florida for undergraduate studies which is where I received my Bachelor of Health Science degree. I then attended Yale University School of Medicine for PA school and received my Master of Medical Science degree. While at Yale I was lucky enough to be exposed to medication assisted treatment and to see how it changed people’s lives. I also have a background in primary care which has helped me look at the patient as a whole and not just one diagnosis. What truly drove me to addiction/recovery treatment was seeing how important it is for those suffering from substance use disorder to have access to treatment and how impactful that treatment can be. There is nothing greater than being a part of a journey where someone gets their life back.

I have been a medical assistant for almost 7 years now, working in the field the one thing I love the most is making my patients feel like they are important and that I am always here to help them I have worked with pediatrics, geriatric, as well as specialist doctors, I would say my dream one day is to become a trauma nurse. I think what drew me to this recovery/addiction treatment was my own personal experience growing up and having a parent/family member suffering from drug addiction and going through the process with them can be very difficult and I had never seen a program before that offers so much help via telemedicine and I think this could really change the future for a lot of people suffering in silence.
