Addiction treatment that works for Port St. Lucie

The opioid crisis on the Treasure Coast was reported as an “epidemic” in 2017, and it has only gotten worse since then. People in Port St. Lucie who struggle with opioids deserve help that works. That’s why Workit Health brings accessible, evidence-backed addiction treatment to Orlandoans who want to take their lives back from alcohol and opioids.

Workit Health’s experienced, expert clinicians can prescribe FDA-approved medications, including Suboxone (buprenorphine/naloxone) and naltrexone, to reduce your cravings and assist you toward long-term recovery. Our program provides nonjudgmental, science-backed behavioral health support to help you achieve your recovery goals—no matter what they are. With Workit’s telemedicine program, you have access to all this support and more from the privacy and comfort of home. (One in-person appointment may be required.)

In 2021, Chief Deputy Brian Hester said, “I’ve given our drug unit marching orders that I want their focus to be on the fentanyl and heroin cases just because overdoses in our county seem to be so prevalent.” Residents of Port St. Lucie who have an opioid dependence or addiction need more than police action; they need effective treatment. No matter where you live in the Port St. Lucie area, you can access gold-standard care from home with our in-app medical appointments, courses, and recovery groups. Get started with Workit Health’s virtual program in just a few minutes, and same-week appointments are often available. You don’t have to do this alone.

Workit Health affiliated providers offer clinical care for substance use in Port St. Lucie and across the state. Here’s how it works:

1) Complete our onboarding in just a few minutes by downloading the Workit Health app. During this step, we’ll verify your insurance or give you pricing information.

2) Schedule an appointment with your care team. Your first appointment will be an orientation to show you how the program works.

3) Order drug tests. Our drug testing process is 100% virtual and simple, and drug tests are shipped to you at no extra cost. In certain states, you must take a drug test before you can receive buprenorphine medications like Suboxone.

5) After your first visit, if clinically appropriate, the clinician will e-prescribe medication to your local pharmacy.

6) Receive ongoing support through recovery groups, learn new coping tools with our interactive curriculum, and message your care team if questions come up.

6) It’s that easy!

You will meet with a Workit afilliated clinician directly through the Workit Health web or phone app. Log in to your account at your scheduled appointment time, and choose to join your provider’s meeting room. Our in-app video conferencing is HIPAA-compliant and totally secure.

Suboxone (buprenorphine/naloxone) is indicated for the treatment of opioid dependence in adults. Suboxone should not be taken by individuals who have been shown to be hypersensitive to buprenorphine or naloxone as serious adverse reactions, including anaphylactic shock, have been reported. Taking Suboxone (buprenorphine/naloxone) with other opioid medicines, benzodiazepines, alcohol, or other central nervous system depressants can cause breathing problems that can lead to coma and death. Other side effects may include headaches, nausea, vomiting, constipation, insomnia, pain, increased sweating, sleepiness, dizziness, coordination problems, physical dependence or abuse, and liver problems. For more information about Suboxone (buprenorphine/naloxone) see Suboxone.com, the full Prescribing Information, and Medication Guide, or talk to your healthcare provider. You are encouraged to report negative side effects of drugs to the FDA. Visit www.fda.gov/medwatch or call 1-800-FDA-1088.
