They felt nervous, too

You’re not the first person to almost talk yourself out of going to an appointment. Here’s what people say after they showed up.

"

Just do it!! I was a little afraid to try the Workit Health app, but this app and the people who run it are great! They walk you through everything. If you have questions, you can always ask without being judged, and they are a great support!! I absolutely love the Workit app and the people who run it!!

Great Program. Everyone is treated with respect and just as important as the next person. I still get nervous and anxious before each Shared Follow-up Appointment, but I always feel better after each appointment. Each individual is asked to participate, but I never feel forced, pushed or judged at any time. For anyone seeking treatment and looking for a place to do it discreetly and be treated with respect … this is where you need to be.

I was so skeptical at first, but Workit Health has really eased any anxiety. They have been nothing but kind. Everything has been so smooth in getting the medicine that I need, correct dose and all. I really have a lot of respect for them.

Common questions

We've heard your questions

These come up all the time. If your question isn’t here, just ask! We’ll get you an answer.

Will my provider judge me for what I've done or how much I've used?

No. Your provider has heard it all. Their job is to help you, not judge you. Workit Health providers are specifically trained to work in substance use care, which means they’ve made a deliberate choice to be in this field. You can be honest.

Do I need to have everything figured out before my appointment?

Absolutely not. Your first appointment is about getting to know you, understanding where you are right now, and figuring out what will help. There’s no pressure, no homework, and no right answers. Just show up.

Wait ... is it a video call or a phone call?

It’s a video call through the Workit Health app. You’ll receive a link via email and text before your appointment. Open the app, tap that link, and your provider will be there. Nobody will call your phone.

What if I'm not ready to stop using completely?

That’s okay. We meet people where they are. You don’t have to be ready for full abstinence in order to start our program. Your provider will talk through your goals with you, not set them for you.

What if I can't get the video to work?

We have a tech support team that can help you troubleshoot before and during your visit. See the tech check section below, or call us so we can walk through it with you.

How long will the first appointment be?

Most first appointments run 30–45 minutes. Plan for up to an hour to be sure you have time to ask questions at the end. Follow-up visits are typically 45-60 minutes.

Before your visit

Test your tech

Your appointment will be a secure video visit that takes place on Zoom. Take two minutes before your visit to make sure everything is working—so the only thing on your mind is showing up.

Download Zoom Workplace

Download the free Zoom Workplace app on your phone or computer. This is the standard, basic Zoom app available in the App Store or Google Play.

Download Zoom Workplace

⚠️ Important: Do not download “Zoom Workplace for Intune.” This is a different app intended only for managed work devices. If you have both apps installed, your device may open the wrong one and prevent you from joining your appointment. Delete “Zoom Workplace for Intune” completely if it’s on your device.

Check your audio and video

Open Zoom and run a test meeting to be sure your camera and microphone are working. If prompted, allow Zoom to access your camera and mic in your device settings.

Try a test Zoom meeting

Read more about Suboxone risks and concerns

Suboxone (buprenorphine/naloxone) is indicated for the treatment of opioid dependence in adults. Suboxone should not be taken by individuals who have been shown to be hypersensitive to buprenorphine or naloxone as serious adverse reactions, including anaphylactic shock, have been reported. Taking Suboxone (buprenorphine/naloxone) with other opioid medicines, benzodiazepines, alcohol, or other central nervous system depressants can cause breathing problems that can lead to coma and death. Other side effects may include headaches, nausea, vomiting, constipation, insomnia, pain, increased sweating, sleepiness, dizziness, coordination problems, physical dependence or abuse, and liver problems. For more information about Suboxone (buprenorphine/naloxone) see Suboxone.com, the full Prescribing Information, and Medication Guide, or talk to your healthcare provider. You are encouraged to report negative side effects of drugs to the FDA. Visit www.fda.gov/medwatch or call 1-800-FDA-1088.
